DOCTOR Who star David Tennant looks more like a monster from the deep as he crawls out of the Thames covered in weed, mud and slime.
The Time Lord, who bows out of the BBC’s hit sci-fi show at Christmas, was getting down and dirty while filming the second in the new run of St Trinian’s movies, The Legend of Fritton’s Gold.

David, 38, dragged himself out of the river’s murky water during a scene where his villainous character, Lord Pomfrey, sinks in his boat. He then had a tussle on the shore with co-star Christian Brassington, 26.
An onlooker said: “David was in his element. It must have been freezing but he didn’t seem to mind.” Evil Lord Pomfrey tries to stop the St Trinian’s schoolgirls from finding a stash of gold.
The movie, which also stars Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding, 27, and Rupert Everett, 50, as headmistress Miss Fritton, is due for release on 18 December.
David previously starred in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as wizard Barty Crouch Jr.

Kelsey’s back from Scotland! Joined by Kari and Flossie the trio touch base in a shorter podcast this week. Excuses abound for why the girls haven’t kept up to date with the latest news on David Tennant while she was gone but it’s all forgiven when conversation turns to the picture of the day. Acronyms are studied for hidden meanings (RTD DT SM MS…) and both sides of the Atlantic discuss Kool-Aid vs Ribena. Next week: Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) is discussed.

Trinity Mirror’s Glasgow-based title the Daily Record has launched a new weekly lads’ mag-style supplement targeting the “modern Scottish man”.
The supplement, called The Brief, runs with a tagline “made for men”. The first issue, out this week, features outgoing Doctor Who star David Tennant on the cover.
Published every Wednesday, the eight-page supplement’s first issue also has an interview with True Blood star Anna Paquin about stripping on screen, and tips on fashion, motoring and the internet.
Trinity Mirror is backing the launch with a TV campaign created in-house.
“Scottish men are now far more aware and interested in all things lifestyle-orientated,” said Lorraine Fraser, marketing director at Trinity Mirror. “The launch of The Brief reflects that ongoing appetite and will appeal to our male readers and in turn our advertisers.”

With Kelsey away (in Scotland) Kari, Flossie and George will play. Their discussion includes Jonathan Ross, San Diego Comic Con and planes. Not necessarily in that order.
They also comment on The Picture of the Day (http://twitpic.com/bl84k) where all agree that the costume must be heavy. The girls and boy also get side-tracked with a discussion on Tennant’s successor Matt Smith and his costume for the new series of Doctor Who.
Next week will feature a new voice! Who could it be? All we know is that it isn’t David Tennant…
