Doctor Who in Buzzcocks special

David Tennant is to host a Doctor Who themed Christmas special of Never Mind The Buzzcocks, it has been reported.

The Time Lord will chair the festive edition of the BBC2 music quiz on December 16, The Sun reports, with guests including The Doctor’s sidekick Catherine Tate and veteran actor Bernard Cribbins – who also appears in the Doctor Who special.

Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley and singer Jamie Cullum will be the music experts on the teams, alongside regulars Noel Fielding and Phil Jupitus.

And in a special twist on the guess the celebrity game – featuring dodgy lookalikes – the panel will have to guess the real Dalek.

The Doctor’s other enemies, such as the Cybermen and the Ood, are also due to make appearances and the Tardis will be on hand to help team members with difficult questions.
